MICHIGAN CENTRAL STATION
Civic Entertainment Group
After 30 years of abandonment, Michigan Central Station was purchased by Ford Motor Company to become the centerpiece of their new campus and to aid the revival of the Corktown area of Detroit. Civic worked with Ford to create a community focused event that paid homage to Detroit’s strength, highlighted key members of the local neighborhood, and told the story of Motor City.
Using MCS’s beautiful architecture as a backdrop, the community came together for a celebration of this new era of revitalization and innovation. Inside, an interactive floor to ceiling installation allowed locals to express their hopes and dreams for the future of their city.
